You Do Not Create Loyal Customers Overnight |

Sure, you might hit it off right away, but are you immediately best friends with each other? Are you even friends right away, or does it take more than just a great initial conversation to make you best of buds?
I know when I was a kid that would often be the case, but I do not find this happening at all anymore, because I need to know a little more about a person before I will call them a good friend. I am certainly not going to be very loyal to someone I’ve only known for a day or so.
Now why are so many companies trying to make loyal customers from a single advertising push? Why expect someone to stick with you if all they know about you is a single sale?
If you are using postcard printing with a direct marketing campaign, how many different rounds of postcards are you sending out? Are you just giving people one wave of custom postcards and assuming they will be completely loyal after they come in once?
I need to shop at a store a number of times before I will consider myself loyal to them, just like I have to talk to someone a number of times before I would consider them a true friend. One trip to a store will not make me stick with them through the years.
I have to see exactly how they run their business, and that takes time for me to find out.
As I mentioned earlier, this also deals with the amount of advertising they focus at me, along with the consistency of it. When I do not know as much about a company I am more inclined to forget about them. They are not apart of my everyday life, and so I’m more likely to have them slip from my mind.
This is where having multiple and consistent postcard printing batches done will help you out. The first batch might get me into your store, but after that first visit odds are good I might forget about you, and so another batch is needed.
No matter what kind of advertising you are getting done this is going to be true, and if you fail to realize that, you will end up failing to generate the number of customers you were hoping for, and you certainly would not gain very many loyal ones.
You need to remember that things like this take time. Few people become best friends overnight, and few people become loyal customers from a single trip to the store. Eventually you can develop some very loyal customers; you just have to be willing to put in the needed time to achieve that.
