First stage:
This is the stage of exploring new ideas and the first thing that comes in the mind is a dissertation title. Only go for the topic you are interested in, pull all the rough ideas about your dissertation and do a preliminary reading of your topic as much as possible so that you get the first hand knowledge about your topic. Make sure your idea has an element of originality so that you just don’t go for anybody else’s idea. Going for a topic that you like can be a good idea as it will maintain your interest till the end rather just writing something that sounds easy. Dissertation writing is quite a long process but will be more interesting if you are passionate about it.
Second stage:
Now, that you are done with your selection of dissertation topic, do a deep research about the literature pertinent to it. If you wish to conduct and experiment or gathering data, try to make sure you are giving yourself ample time to analyze and evaluate the results. For example, the primary materials for English literature dissertation were the texts; therefore, I kept on reading the novels to get some knowledge and the relevant quotes that can be used to illustrate my ideas in dissertation plan writing.
Third stage:
You should complete your primary reading for the dissertation at least 8 weeks before the dissertation is due ad it will be better if you are done with this much earlier. Now, the stage has come when you can plan a writing schedule. This will be a good idea to give yourself ample time to redraft, now set a date when you will complete your first draft. For example, if you have to write a dissertation comprising of 10,000 words and if your deadline is 8 weeks away then plan to write 2000 words each week. In this way you will be able to complete your draft on time.
Fourth stage:
Now, you have 3 weeks left and if your instructor has asked you to submit your initial draft 3 weeks earlier than you are on time.
Week 5 and 6 - show your draft to your instructor
Week 7 - Begin redrafting
Week 8 - Final printing of your dissertation
