Stroke affects not only the physical life but also mental ability of women and stroke problem can be controlled to a large extent if recognized initially. The chances to get stroke problem cured are greater in women as compared to men.

There is a famous precept that knowledge about disease is the half treatment of disease. Women having knowledge about stroke can reduce this risk to a large extent. With adequate knowledge about risk factor and warning signs of this health condition, one can respond quickly in an emergency and even prevent oneself from it. According to surveys stroke is one of the major cause of death in American women and it claims just double lives as compared to breast cancer. More so, report shows that most females facing problem of stroke are under the age of 65 years.

Although women are common sufferers of stroke yet they are more likely to recover from it as compared to men. The reason behind this phenomenon is that women suffer less brain damage than men. Stroke limits the ability and thinking capacity of brain and also makes your life a little narrow. Women and stroke goes hand by hand and if being women you do not take care of this problem in its initial stage then it can get worse. The path of recovery from stroke is longer for females and this can occur anytime in your life.

Risk factor like high blood pressure, diabetes and heart blood pressure are same for both men and women and stroke makes same impact on them. But as compared to men risk factor are more with women and stroke can occur in cases like pregnancy when blood pressure may go up. Apart from this women with migraines and using oral contraceptive may be at greater risk for stroke as compared to those who do not use the pill.

A change in lifestyle of women and your chances of having stroke are automatically reduced greatly. Women should immediately quit smoking and also avoid exposure to second-hand smoke. Maintain the habit of doing regular exercise! Eating healthier and losing extra quantity of weight is also equally essentially.

In conclusion the best way to keep stroke problem away is to maintain healthy lifestyle for women and stroke will no more be a problem.
