Let me help you get your head around this subject. Here are a few tips and considerations that you should take note of as you choose those brochure templates for your own project.
1. Consider your target audience.
The first big consideration when you are choosing your brochure templates is your target audience. You will always want to know exactly what your audience expects out of your brochures. You must know what brochures will they pick up and what types of brochures they will ignore altogether.
In most of my experiences, trifold brochures are always ideal for any kind of market, but some more picky demographics will probably like simpler or more complicated configurations depending on the product and industry. People on the go for example will probably like those simpler ones, while those connoisseurs of products will probably like more intricate and well though tout configurations. Choose the right template that will most please them of course.
2. Consider your content.
Of course, try to also consider how long your content is. You might be using a very long 8 panelled brochure template that your readers like, but if you do not have the content to fill all those out then it will be useless of course. So try to actually write out your whole text content draft so that you can easily determine what kind of template is most ideal for your brochure printing.
3. Consider your distribution method.
It is also a good idea to consider the distribution that you are planning to employ for your color brochures. Your brochure template might be too big or too small for your deployment plans, and that might cause you problems in the efficient marketing of your prints. Make sure that your choice of brochure template is just the right size for your deployment strategy, neither getting too big or too small for the racks, envelopes and other mediums for brochure distribution.
4. Consider your theme/message.
It is also good to consider your main theme or message as you choose your brochure templates. Some messages require large type templates while others are better printed in smaller type configurations.
For example, “BIG” promotional events require big brochures for that extra impact, while quick reference color brochures are best kept small so that people can easily store them in their pockets. The more accurately you judge something like this, the more useful your color brochures should become. So make sure you consider yout theme and message.
5. Consider your budget.
Finally, try to consider your budget. If you cannot afford of course those big style brochure prints, then you should not use those big style brochure templates of course. Make sure that you balance it out and just use the right kind of template that gives you the cost that you can most afford. It is only practical to do this of course.
Now you are on the road to better choices for your brochure templates. Keep all the notes above handy so that you can easily do the right thing with your brochure printing template choice.
