You can resolve the issue by deleting the Gallery presets key. To do so, in the registry editor, drill down to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\List Gallery Presets and delete the Gallery presets key.
If the problem does not get resolved, then re-install the MS Word application. But, this method is not recommended as in this case too, certain of your documents may get corrupted.
