It is like having an insurance policy that the electrician starts and completes all jobs he takes on with satisfactory results. If the electrician does not adhere to this standard and you are dissatisfied, the bonding company compensates you. There are three different types of bonds, the bid bond, performance bond and the payment bind. When you choose a bonded electrician, you have an assurance the job will be done correctly and completed to your satisfaction. You can check with the bonding company before contracting the electrician for work to find out if they are indeed bonded and check with your licensing branch to see if the company has had any bad complaints. The professional electrician that is bonded, insured and licensed will be a good choice, but one that is not bonded can do the same quality work. It is all a matter of choice and the choice is yours since you want quality and satisfactory work.
