Language of Vietnam is Vietnamese which is a tonal monosyllabic Mon-Khmer language and used as an official national language. In its early history around in the 13th century, the Vietnamese developed their own set of characters called Ch? nôm. During the French colonial period, Qu?c ng?, the Romanized Vietnamese alphabet used for spoken Vietnamese became popular and brought literacy to the masses.

Cuisine of Vietnam is an integral part of its cultural heritage. Like its other aspects included in culture, its cuisine is also influenced with practices of various religions and beliefs. Vietnam cuisine is often considered the richest food of the world. The traditional Vietnamese cuisine is as lip smacking as the delicious sea food of the country.
Music and Dance of Vietnam varies slightly in the three regions. Northern classical music is Vietnam's oldest and is traditionally more formal. Vietnamese classical music can be traced to the Mongol invasions.
Architecture of Vietnam reflects the blend of beauty, aestheticism, harmony and grace. Taking a tour of the Vietnamese temples and monasteries will display the architectural expertise of the country. The primarily pagoda form of architecture will leave you cavernous at its utter brilliance.
Literature of Vietnam has a long history. Folk literature has been developed for centuries with many great arts. There are many great artists from the country. The modernization of literature has happened since Western cultural effect began in 19th century.
Religion in Vietnam is greatly influenced by Mahayana Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. These have strongly influenced the religious and cultural life of the people in Vietnam. People majorly identify themselves as Buddhists. Most people ascribe to Tam Ð?o. A majority of population in Vietnam worship the mixture of Mahayana Buddhism mainly, Taoism, Confucianism with Ancestor Worship. Besides this, Christianity is also followed by many people.
Clothing of Vietnam is unique. One of the most popular Vietnamese traditional garments is the "Áo Dài", worn often for special occasions such as weddings or festivals.
Vietnam has a plethora of festivals, the most important being the New Year T?t. Among innumerable traditional Vietnamese occasions, the traditional Vietnamese wedding is very popular. You must be a part of Vietnam festivals to know more about it.
Vovinam and Bình Ð?nh martial arts are two popular Vietnamese martial arts. Football (soccer) badminton, tennis, ping pong, and chess are also popular with people. Volleyball, especially women's volleyball, is loved by many Vietnamese.
