There are many Sales Jobs in the B2B Services industry which require travelling as part of the role. With up-to-the-minute online services increasingly being delivered to the desktops of staff throughout the City of London, Europe and indeed the world, sales staff and business development executives are required to spend nearly half of their time in the field, demonstrating software, applications and feeds to traders, brokers and finance houses.

Receiving up-to-the-minute data on the fluctuations in market activity are vital to the day-to-day running of most many financial institutions. The ability to demonstrate, explain and install confidence in these products in order to deliver new business for providers is of paramount importance. Regular travel to client sites in the UK and abroad is often expected in order to manage the sales process through to acquisition.

Experienced Field Sales Staff and new business closers with a proven track record are highly sought after. For most roles between 2 or even 3 years experience in the industry is key and knowledge of the finance sector and trading in particular are even more valuable.

For roles such as this salaries do vary but basic salaries of £25 to £30,000 can be achieved but these are obviously dependent on experience. The key is to understand your marketplace, the industry in question and your client base in order to deliver results. OTE earnings can exceed £70,000 with added benefits also offered in some roles.
