Though centuries of volcanic activities have resulted in rugged surface of Iceland areas, the natural and artificial charm is still intact. Some of the best attractions in the country are:

Mývatn:

It lies in the northeast of Iceland and considered to be the one of the natural wonders of the world. This reserve contains a lovely blue lake in the center. It location in the rain shadow of an enormous icecap is the reason of the fabulous weather here. Walk, relax or choose to spend a week camping over here. You can also set out for an excursion to the Kverkfjol ice caves Námaskaro or the Hverfell crater.

Reykjavik:

If you wish to have a feel of a modern European city, come to Reykjavik which traps every trait that you expect. You will find the eccentric Icelandic spirit. Cafes, clubs, high energy pubs and fabulous modern platforms for entertainment make Reykjavik a special place to live in. This brightly colored old town impresses everyone with its rows of wood-and-corrugated-tin houses.

Blue lagoon:

It is the most attractive geothermal pool of Iceland. Hidden in black lava between the airport and Reykjavík, this pool is filled with mineral rich heated seawater. You would feel as though you are on another planet when you find yourself amidst silvery towers of the nearby geothermal plant, rolling clouds of steam, and people daubed in white silica-mud. After having visited the entire spa you can investigate the hot spots, steam rooms and saunas. You will find as good attraction as this tourist attraction Iceland in any other part of the world.
