Marketing is about getting the required product by exchanging or creating it. Marketing is just not about buying and selling, but it is about assigning value to a product from the customer’s point of view. Some most common marketing mistakes which can disrupt the market if not overtaken are as following:-

* Marketing without a strategy: A strategy plan is absolutely required to do business. Any business cannot do well in the market if is not following any strategy plan like- which time is good for launching a product, how it will reach to the customers, how can a product dominate in the market, product advertisement etc.

To overcome this problem, plan everything in advance. It means spend some time to review market and find out other product brands and their market share, compare prices and then decide weakness or strength of your product and make suitable business strategy for it and launch your product in the market.

* Failing to Capture Repeat Customers:: In any business it is believed that 80% of the business comes from the existing customers while 20% business comes from new customers. The target should be both categories of customers for an entrepreneur. Because if he/she fails to attract new customers then how can he expect to grow and reach to new customers needs?

This difficulty can be overcome by keeping your product’s quality consistent. Another thing that you can do is maintaining your goodwill in the market. Because sometimes customers run behind reputed names in the market.

* Not using the marketing mix effectively:: This can be a very common mistake. Customers need regular change in the product outlook or advertisement campaign. It does not mean that you are going to compromise quality of your product. Obviously, good quality is the key to a successful business.

It is very necessary to use a mix of strategy to endorse your invention in the marketplace. Even the advertisement strategy needs regular changes. Your product outer look can be changed with time.

* Being inconsistent with your brand:: Communicate with your audience in a consistent way. It means be very clear about your brand. Sometimes company’s official gives contradictory statements about their brand and this leaves a vey bad impression on the audience, because it will confuse audiences about you.

So, to keep your product always on the crown of the market, be consistent about your product and statements in the market.

* Being over confident about yourself:: Over confidence sometimes degrade your performance. A person who is over confident about itself and its products always look at the market with a favorable view. But, this is not the moral of story every time. There are always rapid changes in the market.

Be very smart in the business, but don’t be over confident. Even a small company can initially emerge slowly and then gives a tough competition to a gigantic company.

At the bottom line, it is concluded that effective marketing takes persistence and patience. You need to work very hard to make your plunk in the souk. Once you get familiar with the latest marketing strategies, then nobody can stop you without getting successful in the market.
