There are a wide variety of materials used in bedding that you can choose from. There are synthetic as well as natural materials on offer. Synthetic bedding for boys is usually made from nylon or microfibers that can be combined to produce cozy bedding. Though, the comfort that organic bedding offers is definitely higher than any other kind of bedding material. Also, organic bedding is also good for the environment and for you as there are no toxic chemicals used during manufacturing. Boys who have respiratory sensitivity will find hypoallergenic bedding very helpful. They are made from natural or synthetic fibers that have been treated to prevent respiratory allergic reactions, making them a preferred choice for boys bedding.

Apart from the obvious differences in the palette of boys bedding, the themes are very different as well. Consult with your child to know what theme he would like in his room. Cars, sports and his favorite cartoon character would probably top his list. There are also other options that are possible like a beach or nautical theme for the sailor in him or even create a pirate’s cove, complete with treasure chests and cargo nets. His bed pillows could be decorated with pirate’s skull and bones for a dramatic effect. The positive aspect about decorating with a pirate’s theme is that as your child grows older, it can be easily adapted into a nautical theme.

If your boy dreams of being a rodeo star, the Wild West theme with ten gallon hats and sheriff’s stars is perfect. This theme can be adapted for older boys as well with solid colors like brick red, slate blue, sunshine yellow, wood brown and creamy white that could be used in the walls and bedding accents like bed pillows and bed sheets. In fact, Native American motifs like painted horses or bison or quilt patterns could be easily used with the cowboy theme as it transitions to something more mature over the years.
Other great themes to choose for boy’s room are space voyage, steam punk or military/airplane themes.
