The high quality computer screen is very important for those who spend more time in front of their computer. More convenience is being provided by high resolution monitor while working at computer screen for long period of time. However, when a flicker problem occurs in your monitor, all of your convenience will be completely gone. The problem of screen flicking can lead you to eyestrain; headache or it may damage your eyesight and lead you to blindness.
The first thing which should be done by you is to check the setting of your monitor. Usually, the most common cause of flicker is vertical refresh. The refresh rate should be set to 75Hz or higher. The result will be screen flickering if there is any lower rate. It can also be done by just right clicking on the Window desktop. Choose Properties and open the dialog box of Display Properties. Here, you will find Setting tab then you should look for the advanced button. Once you click this button, you will see Monitor tab then you can easily select the most appropriate rate for your screen. To apply the new setting, you need to reboot your computer.
You should also determine the model of your computer graphic card after setting the rate. You need to find updated driver and then install the driver in your computer. This driver will be very useful to reduce the screen flicking on your computer. You have to check any possible interference from device such as speakers, tv sets, or other electric appliances, if those two previous tips fail to solve the problem. This interference can also be one of the reasons of your flickering computer screen.
You have to check the power plug if your computer screen is still flickering. You can try another power plug or another switch board where there is no problem in power supply such as low power or high power. If you plug it to the surge protector, then you can also unplug your monitor temporary. The monitor can also be supplied power separately. You will be able to stop computer screen flickering by following these tips. And now you will be able to work more conveniently on computer at your home. There is a wide range of visual options which gets you carried away. It will also impact on the performance of your computer.
After setting the rate, you should also determine the model of your computer graphic card. Just find out any updated driver and install it to your computer.
