When you learn and apply the three important traits of network marketers, you will eventually see success.

The steps are as follows:

Patience – This is of utmost importance in your business. If you do not have the patience to see it through, you have no chance. All businesses require this trait, and those who do not possess it are dead in the water.

You must be willing to try different marketing methods and give them time to work. No method will bring in a ton of cash overnight. Know this; expect it; live with it.

If you expect to leave your job or see a huge increase in income quickly, you will be disappointed. This business is not a sprint, it is a marathon. Be there for the long-haul, and you will someday reap the rewards.

I know this may be hard to swallow, because we all want instant gratification. We want to be able to put in little effort and see big rewards. However, the reality is not quite so rosy. If you go in with that knowledge, then you will be better off than most.

Persistence – Set goals, take daily steps to build your business, and be persistent.

Be willing to take the same steps over and over again. For example, post daily in the forums, write and submit articles as often as possible, place classified ads, set up a postcard campaign, etc.

Know from the beginning that none of these methods will bring you customers or business partners overnight. Daily actions and time will eventually work together to help you succeed.

If you become weary and refuse to persist in your efforts, then all will be lost. You may as well remain in the daily 9 to 5 grind forever. Keep this in mind when frustration begins to set in. Remember that even though this may take time, it beats the alternative.

Profit – If you will practice the two traits above, you will gradually begin to see a profit. We all would like to see this word at the top of the list, but it just doesn’t work that way.

However, when your business begins to grow, it sometimes grows quickly and exponentially. For instance, when you recruit a team member, then they recruit one, then it may begin to snowball.

This is when you know that all your hard work has been worth the effort. This is the light at the end of the tunnel that you knew was there all along.
