If you are looking for a more scenic setting, you may want to consider Northern California. There are several national parks in this region that will make you take notice, like Crater Lake and Muir Woods. You can choose to live near the coast or closer to the woods. If you are a wine connoisseur, then you can live in the Sonoma or Napa region. If those don’t suit your fancy, you can always retreat back to city life and live in San Francisco..
Of course, Southern California is probably the most popular of the three sections of the Sunshine State. Here is where you will find San Diego and the City of Angels, Los Angeles. If you were to reside here, you would be living the life that other people wish they could have here. Who knows? You may stumble onto a famous person here, and maybe, just maybe they’ll oblige and give you’re their autograph. Other than that, you can enjoy a mild climate during the year.
Before you move to the Sunshine State, there are several things you will want to check out:
• Find out where you want to live. You’ll probably want to look at areas that are considered relatively nice and safe.
• You’ll want to factor in the cost of living in where you want to live. Keep in mind, however, no matter where you live in California, the cost of living is one of the highest in the nation.
• You’ll probably want to visit the area you’re looking to relocate to prior to your moving to California. It’s always good to get an idea of the area to see if you will actually fit in there.
• If you have children, check out the school system they’ll be enrolled in. You want to make sure it’s a place of higher learning.
• Check out the transportation in the area you want to live in. If you don’t have a car, you may have to settle for the larger cities such as San Francisco or Los Angeles, they have public transportation available.
