Results of this study showed that the administration of L-arginine reduced infarct size in rats subjected to distal middle cerebral arterial and ipsilateral common carotid arterial occlusion by 31%.

This study examined the effects of dietary L-arginine on the growth and development of Ehrlich Ascites tumor cells in mice. Results showed that significant inhibitions in the growth of tumor-bearing mice fed a purified casein diet supplemented with 5% arginine as well as in the number of free tumor cells growing in the mice.
