• The more images, the better – most people perhaps started believing this kind of myth in brochure printing when color printing started to become so good. Images instantly looked crisp and clear and all the people wanted to make use of these things as much as possible. The truth is that having too much images in your prints can mean that you use up all the space that you have on these cards without giving the details and information of your business that clients are looking for. It is for a fact that most of you want to include images on your cards, but always make sure that you do not overdo it.
• Bright colors are always great to use – the reason for this kind of myth in printing brochures is that it is a known fact that bright colors more often than not tend to draw people’s eyes and attention. For this reason, many people want to make use of only bright colors so that clients will recognize their prints. In reality, though, most of you need to have colors that suit well with whatever it is you are promoting. A brochure for a theme park must always have fun color tones that match the images of the park itself.
• No people or client reads these prints anyway – this kind of myth in brochure printing has been spread for an unknown reason, and is not true. Most clients are really much more likely to read these things instead of newspapers or magazines because they can read these things in a fast manner. In just a few minutes, almost all clients can find out all the details and information that they want to know. This is very easy and very convenient.
• Most clients only look over the internet for details and information – this is the same to the myth stated above, and it is partially true. What it needs however is some context. Clients might be more prone to searching the internet when they are looking for a place to go, for instance, but they will not make use of it after they have arrived at the location. This is why theme parks must always promote or advertise events in this brochure form as most of the clients and guest at the park will be more often than not interested to read about these things.
• All the things must be informational – this is not true. Most of you do want to be experts and you do want to give information. Most of you do not have to make full color brochure printing boring, though.
