To avoid such a mishap from happening we have provided you here with the essential parts that all public relation brochures must have. Integrate these parts in your brochure layout and you will surely come up with an effective, informative and eye catching brochure.
The name and logo
The first and most important part of a public relations brochure is the name and logo of your company or project. Since the key word here is public relations, you want the public first to know what your company or project is all about through its name and logo. Make sure that your company name and logo are prominently displayed in your brochure. Typically, this is located as a “letterhead” around the top part of the “cover panel” of a color brochure. Of course you can also put the name and logo on the middle of this panel, but sometimes people like to add in an “image cover” in the central area too.
The brochure image “cover”
The “image cover” is also an essential part of a successful public relations brochure. Like magazines, catalogs and booklets, the cover is usually where people decide whether they want to read a printed material or not. Your brochure cover should always have an attractive image that connects to a potential reader in a personal level. It must engage their feelings, illicit a reaction or peak someone's interest.
The mission and vision
After the initial “appeal” of the brochure, the next part should be somewhat of a “getting to know” section. Here is where you put in the text of the mission or vision of your company or project. This can be a brief description of what it does, its origins and of course it is eventual goal. Also, this is where you put in the statement for the company's corporate philosophy or the project's tag line or theme.
The main body
Next, we come to the body of the brochure. This is the longest and most important part. If you do not place this, you would not have any real purpose in printing brochures. The main body is where you advertise or promote a company or project's product and services. In terms of your public relations brochure, it is here where you can place the description and images of the best products and services that your firm offers. This is usually the most thought out section because this is where you will entice potential consumers to buy a product or avail of a service.
Current news
After the main body, you can also add a small news section in your brochure. If you issue brochures on a regular basis, this is the perfect section to add since you place any current news that relates to your company which should be of interest to your readers. Take note though that this should not take over from the main body of your brochure. Unless providing news is the primary role of your brochure, it is best to just write a small snippet of news that should support the goal of the brochure.
Contact information
Lastly, you must always place a contact information section for your company or firm in your brochure. This is where you put all the details about your company including its telephone number, address, email, fax and any other important contact information. This is crucial especially if you want your customers to call or inquire about your services.
If all these parts are present, you should be well on your way to creating a true public relations brochure.
