The City of London Celebrates the Dramatic Skyscrapers

The London City flaunts the newest skyscraper buildings transforming London to an upcoming major business hub and office development region

The City in London celebrates its dynamic skyscrapers most of which are recently structured and designed. These are the most outrageous intrusions within London city, thus making the city look fabulous and a great business hub. A proper planning guideline was held for most of the 20th century buildings limiting their height of the tallest of the church spires. Over the next existence the City in London will be transformed with a succession of startling buildings. Some of these buildings might be used as Central London venues. An exhibition is being hosted which will provide a close sample of the skyscrapers.
Some of these gigantic buildings which are set to govern the city’s square mile in recent years are:

Leadenhall Street: Lord Rogers has intended this unique 220m wedge formed project and is built on the avenue as Rogers' Lloyds building. The structure is quiet famous for its exterior structure because it is wedge shaped. Contrasting Lloyds, the services will be reserved within this fresh building; however the elevate towers will be see-through.

St Mary Axe: This skyscraper is better known as the gherkin, Partner’s and Foster distinctive office building. The building is in London’s main monetary district within The City consisting of 40 floors. Its composition conceptualized the start of innovative high-rise creation boom in London. It was planned by Lord Foster, Arup engineers and his then trade partner Ken Shuttleworth.

London Wall: This is yet another workplace expansion by Foster and Partners. It is a 13 storey structure which got concluded last year and first it was proposed as a “cool sleek iceberg of glass”.

Minerva: Nicholas Grimshaw designed this 50 floor block. This architect is quiet well known for the Eurostar Waterloo terminal and Cornwall’s Eden project. The building got consent for a site which is just next to the Petticoat Lane Market, however the locals opposed the construction saying that it would wedge the sunlight and river market stalls would also get closed.

Heron Tower: This is the flagship tower of the property tycoon Gerald Ronson. This 37 storey tower had a warning from the controversial agency from the government; however, its construction still got approved. The controversy was due to the fact that it would spoil the protected views of the very well known St Paul’s Cathedral.

These are some of the amazing skyscrapers within The City, out of which some are newly constructed thus giving a commercial look to London.
