Teacher appreciation week can also be seen as a learning curve for both teachers and students. Students can use this week to learn more about their teachers and teachers can learn from their students. For example they could ask the students to evaluate their teaching methods and see where there is room for improvements. For teacher appreciation day 2009 students could research another country and see what teaching methods they use in the classroom. This could then be compared with their own and they could compare and contrast and see what is better overall. An idea for the week could be use to a different teaching technique which could be different and fun for everyone.
Teacher appreciation is a great confidence boost for teachers because they will never know what you have thought of their teaching unless you tell them. Use this week as an opportunity to say thank-you.
