Rock fort temple
This is a magnificent temple. The rock is3800 million years old and is one of the oldest rocks in the world. There are 344 steps that lead to the top. There are old inscriptions written in 3rd century BC. This fort has played an important role during the carnatac wars.

The temple of Sriangam
This is an old temple and for its construction the Vijayanagar Empire has played a role. He principal deity of the temple is Vishnu. As per the historical facts, even Muslims have prayed in this temple during the destruction and fall of empire of Vijaynagar. There is an annual car festival held in temple. During that time, the decorated chariot made of wood is made to pass through the streets. These streets are between multiple walls. In mid of December, there is another event called the paradise festival.

Thiruvannaikaval temple
This is a temple dedicated to the lord Shiva. It is also considered as one of the five elements. Legend says that Shiva once appeared under a tree here. This is an ancient temple with a legend behind it. It was built during the earlier times and had influence of many dynasties including Cholas.

Samaipuram temple
This is one of the most visited places in the Trichy city. The deity in the temple is Shakti. The deity name is Mariamman and this goddess blesses with health and prosperity.

The church of st John
This is one of the oldest churches in Trichnappally. It was built in honor of the apostle John who was much dear to Christ.

S Lourdes church
This church is built in honor of our lady of Lourdes. This was built around 100 years before and has a magnificent architecture.
Trichnappally is a beautiful destination for tourists and you can visit this place with your friends or family.
