Many people who deal with realtor's on Martha's Vineyard prefer the small firms, the main reasons,
1) Personal Service
2) Less pressure
The big agencies seem to work very hard to list your home, and are very eager to sell you one, but in the long run the service is much better with the small real estate agencies, as they work more with you.
Who can blame the big agencies for wanted to get into the market on Martha's Vineyard, with many homes selling for over one million dollars real estate there is very profitable, but that has also brought competition. There are over 50 real estate agencies on Martha's Vineyard, with only 400 to 600 homes listed at any given time that makes it very competitive. One only hopes that the small firms can compete with the bigger budgets of the larger firms.
