The cover of genuine leather has obvious pores and lines. Synthetic leather's cover has also some pores, but they are not clear. In addition, I will give you a very simple way to discern the genuine leather. On the other side of synthetic leather, there is a layer of dry goods. It is used to increase its tension strength. However, there is not a layer of dry goods on the other side of the genuine leather. Thirdly, you can smell it. If you hold genuine leather, you can only smell the leather's odor. There is no other strange smell. Sometimes the excessive use of industrial chemicals will cause this peculiar taste. The forth one is to light it. If you light the genuine leather, its smell is similar with people's alight hair's. The leather will be powder and you can not see any pimples. But the synthetic leather will be a pimple and you can smell a pungent smell.
