There is a noticeable pattern in the growth of used cars market in India. The used cars for sale gained momentum with the entry of Maruti small car into Indian car market in the 1980’s. What Maruti did was something novel for the Indian markets. Firstly, it was the first imported car that rolled its model on the Indian roads and secondly, it laid to rest the concerns of people about the suitability of foreign cars on Indian roads. Maruti gained the vital trust of Indian public. And it was Maruti that ultimately led the charge in used car market. Maruti still enjoys the confidence of Indian consumer and is the most highly rated second hand car in India. Maruti started it all and now, it’s the luxury cars that are selling like hot cakes.
It makes sense to buy used cars in India. The new cars, of course, lend the value to your personality. But it’s the used cars that lure the common man in India. The lower strata of the Indian middle class rely on the used cars for to meet their needs for a family vehicle. The used cars market also provides employment opportunities to the unskilled professionals who help you buy/sell cars in India.
The used cars have their own charm. For the starters, it provides an excellent vehicle to hone their driving skills. For others, it may just be a temporary arrangement to eventually buy brand new car. For many, it is the be all and end all as far as short-term future is concerned.
Requirements may vary but the users of used cars are seldom, unhappy lot. The only thing that must be borne in mind before buying second hand cars in India is that the machinery should be an original one. The original company-made machinery ensures you do not have to face an unpleasant situation in your usage of the used car. The meter reading also gives you fair idea of what to expect from your used car. Overall, buying a used car makes sense and a win-win situation!
