Sarcasm and the Law of Attraction

How to avoid the pitfalls of using sarcasm which tends to isolate us form others and destroy the bridges of communication between people.

Sarcasm. You think it's funny, don't you? It's a familiar scenario. A friend comes up to you, bursting at the seams with information about a plan or an experience that she/he has. After the person animatedly describes the scenario in great detail and with obvious relish you come up with something like "And in whose world would that be possible" or "Are you kidding, a two year old could do that!"Crestfallen, the friend walks away. So what have you accomplished? You just lost another friend! Now how many does that make this week? What have you gained by this exchange of words let's see...

1) You upset (and possible lost) a friend
2) You made yourself look like an idiot
3) You demonstrated fear

"What do you mean I demonstrated fear?" you're probably saying to yourself right now. So let me give you an example. You're walking down the street when you see a man with a sign that says
"Will work for food" Now what do you think or even say out loud, "Why don't you get a job, you bum!"

Why did you say that? You don't know that person's circumstances. He/she could be ill, have lost a job, or many other not-so-nice-things. The last thing he/she needed was YOU coming along and saying what you just said. You might have chosen to dig onto your pocket and given then something (no, not lint!) or just nodded sympathetically to them. but you didn't think about it. Are you afraid of becoming like them?

The Law of Attraction states plainly that the emotions we vibrate out come back to us. So what do you want to send out there? Confidence, love, companionship, understanding? Those are good things, are they not?

So just for today, keep your mouth shut and send out those positive feelings. Then put the sarcasm on the back shelf. And that's where it should stay.
