Char Dham is considered very auspicious for Hindus as it’s known to be abode of god in four different directions of India. The annual pilgrim begins in India from April and continues till October/November.
The four famous places of Char Dham Yatra are Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri, where Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Kedarnath to Lord Shiva, Yamunotri to Goddess Yamuna and Gangotri to Goddess Ganga. Amongst the four Dhams, Badrinath is considered to be the most sacred destination as it is believed that great shankracharya attainted freedom from incarnation in Badrinath.
The tour starts from Yamunotri which is worshipped as the seat of goddess Yamuna. The temple of yamunotri lies 6 km from Hanuman chatti town. There are few ashrams and guesthouses where you can stay in and take the advantages of food and comfort. Enjoy watching the temples in which the pujaris offer prayers to river Yamuna and get an enlightening experience.
Your, next stop is Gangotri which is the origin of river Ganga. The devotees thoroughly enjoy their trips to Gangotri as they feel something heavenly about the place and the aarti done so intensely that makes you feel incarnated.
The third destination of Char Dham Yatra is Kedarnath. This place is believed to be where Hindu god Shiva resides. The best part of the temple is that it’s surrounded by soft magnificent Himalayan snowcap peaks.
The last stop and the final destination of Char Dham Yatra is Badrinath, which is known to be the holiest destination of complete Char Dham tour. Badrinath is named after beauty of its magnificent temples which fulfill religious desires of its devotees. The internal beauty of Badrinath proves to be an eye rolling experience for the visitors.
