If you have a deviated septum, that can be removed, or your nostrils can be changed and the tips can be downsized and reshaped. You will have the opportunity to have an entirely new nose. The important part is working with your doctor to ensure that the nose you get not only works with the rest of your face but makes you happy. There is no point in having any type of procedure if you aren’t going to be happy with the results.

For a rhinoplasty, you will most likely be put all the way under anesthesia. Some plastic surgeries are of a type that will allow for local anesthesia to be used, but it’s probably not recommended for this type. Your doctor will have to work hard and make some pretty delicate incisions to bring you your new nose. Having you as still as possible is going to be paramount. The good news is that once your surgery is over with, you shouldn’t have too much of a scar, since most physicians can make the incisions in such a way that they are hidden from view.

Rhinoplasty surgery can make your entire face look like it’s supposed to be there together. When you have one thing out of joint, it can throw off the entire symmetry of your face. That symmetry is important to many people and you may not realize it, but it’s what draws your eye to things you find enjoyable to view.
