Cause:
Following reasons are responsible for the occurrence of such error messages:
(1) This behavior can occur if the attributes of any or all of the Outlook Express *.dbx mail files are set to read-only mode.
(2) Outlook Express DBX files are corrupt or damaged.
Resolution:
To resolve the above problem, remove the read-only attribute from the Outlook Express *.dbx mail files. This can be done by following below mentioned steps:
(1) Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders.
(2) Now after doin this, In the Named box, type *.dbx, in the Look in box, click Local hard drives (C:), and then click Find Now.
(3) For each *.dbx file found, right click the file, click Properties and then clear the Read-Only checkbox.
(4) Click Apply & then Close Outlook Express.
(5) Now launch Outlook Express. It will now start without any problem and all the errors will be gone.
