With this feature on, you will save a lot of time as you no longer have to type your username and password every time you need to log in. Username and Password fields will be automatically populated with the value you have once entered. Just imagine how comforting it feels when you visit a particular website and find the username/password box already filled up with the values you are about to enter.

For me, this is superb! However, this boon can easily turn into bane if other people too use your computer. If through this feature, it is easy for you to log into a particular website then it is also easy for people with bad intention. Through remembered password, they can easily login to your web page account and can steal your private and sensitive information. Imagine what will happen if you have left this feature turned on for your banking website. Your bank account can be wiped clean! So, to avoid this kind of situation, you can remove the remembered passwords from your browser.

To delete Internet history, stored password or other stored information such as Internet cookies in Internet Explorer, please follow the steps given below.

Open Internet Explorer, click on ‘Tools’ menu>> Internet Options.
On the General tab, under "Browsing history", click Delete...and select the items you want to delete.
Click ‘Delete’ then ‘Ok’.

For Firefox,
Open Firefox, click on ‘Tools’ menu>>Options.
On the Security tab, under “Password”, click “Exception”.
In ‘Saved Password’ dialog box, click on ‘Remove’ or ‘Remove All’ whatever you like.
