Plain Bible Truth: Nobody Has Problems Like I Do!

Did you ever speak to someone and tell them what your going through, but no matter what, your problems always pale’s in comparison to theirs? Maybe that person is you! Let’s talk about it and see what the Bible says about everyday problems.

It's funny how some people are, we all have our problems, but some people will always think that their problems are bigger than everybody else's. When talking with a person like that and you mention something you are going through, they will always comeback to one-up you in the problem department.

We are told by the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:13, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

What Paul is saying here, is that you shouldn't get to caught up in any one problem, because although when it is happening to you, it may feel as though it is an impossible situation and that nobodies problem is as overwhelming as yours, always remember you have a God who not only loves you, but cares about you and what you are going through and knows what your limitations are.

And As Paul says here, there is no problem that you can experience, that God hasn't dealt with. And although God does not put problems into your life (problems are a product of a fallen world) sometimes He will let you experience that problem longer than you particularly care to experience it. He does this so He can see how you respond to adversity and help you develop godly character as a result of the trial. But again, Paul gives us some comfort in the fact that God is always ready to point you in the way of escape.

That is why we should always be focused on God, because we can easily miss that way of escape, if we are to focused on the physical nature of the problem, sulking and feeling sorry for ourselves. I'm sure there are many people out there that will be rolling their eyes while reading this because a way of escape has not been their experience.

But, if you are one of those people, it's not that there is no way of escape, it is because you most likely are not in line with God and His will for your life. If you are not in line with Him, you can be assured that you will miss those ways of escape. Why do we need to focus on God? Well, there are many reasons, but a good one is what 1 Kings 19:12; God speaks in a "still small voice." A still small voice in a world of hustle and bustle, with deadlines to make, bosses to please, kids to pick up, dinner to get ready, with TV’s and radio’s blasting in the background, is virtually impossible to hear. And that’s the way the enemy wants it! Do you think the devil wants you to hear God’s voice in your life? Absolutely not! He will do everything in his power to drown that out.

Next time, I will expound a little more on 1 Kings 19:12, and the importance of hearing that still small voice in your life, and how that still small voice can shake up your life!
