There is no magic wonder diet, talismans, voodoo spells, or any other mystery to it. Hard work done right and in the right areas is all it really takes. Here is a quick look at what you need to do.

The first thing that you want to get established is a day of your routine to work your core. This is the torso area. You can do flies for your pecks, lat pulls for your wings, and shrugs for your shoulders, but no matter what exercises your choose,do not forget to work your abs and sides. By rotating your sides into your normal workout, you can get rid of the love handles and get the framework for your abs. Hanging a weight from your feet and doing leg lifts can really be useful for this, especially if you come up to the side. Leaning sideways for sit ups is another great exercise you can use. This will lay the foundation for the true secret to this article.

The real secret for amazing rock hard abs is quite simple. The answer lies in sit ups. It may seem like a no brainer or too simple to be effective, but it is true. It is not just a normal couple sit ups and go, but a specific manner in which to do them. After every workout (cardio, aerobic, or weights) you will need to do 100 sit ups but at different incline levels. You will need to find a sit up bench that has about 5 different positions (flat + 4) and get started. Start in the flat position and do ten reps. Move the bench up one level and repeat all the way to the top. At the top do twenty and then work your way down the positions. IF this can be done easily, grab a ten pound plate to lay on your chest for each set.As that gets easy, increase the plate weight. For safety reasons, you may not want to exceed a 25 pound plate. For heavier weights, switch to a dumbbell. The plates distribute the weight more and make a more consistent workout but for the heavier weights, the dumbbells are easier to hold and less likely to slip out and smack you in the chin.

The most important thing to remember in this trick is that you need to do it daily. This will generate the results that you want. Many people only do sit ups one to three times a week. This allows your abs to relax too much and they also generate a layer of body fat. By doing the sit ups daily, you keep your abs constantly working and growing and burn that layer of fat away from your mid section. For a good visual aid on this, once you get your rock hard abs, stop doing sit ups for about a week. They will disappear faster than you could imagine. Every bit of benefit you gained will be gone before the week is over. Since this exercise only takes about 15 minutes, it is a great finish no matter what your workout calls for each day. It even serves as a nice cool down for a very intense workout.
