Before you queue your digital printing needs for your different advertising tools, stop and think about your customers. By looking thoroughly and studying their buying steps and processes, you’ll be able to come up with a formula on how you will go about your marketing schemes.

Think like a Customer

Before you bombard your potential clients with ads predicting what will be good for them when you don’t even have an idea of what they look like. Before you tell them that your product will make their skin softer, unaware that they already have flawless skins. Before you think like an advertiser, think first like a customer.

Place yourself on their shoes to have an idea of what they will feel upon seeing your schemes. You can do this through the following:

1. Look around you. Look at the ads surrounding your everyday lives.

2. Pick the one or number of things that catch your interest.

3. Take note of why those ads appealed to you and what was your first reaction upon seeing the ads.

4. While you’re at it, also note down why didn’t you like the other ads. Write down everything that constituted your negative reaction to the ads. And what do you think can be done to improve them.

5. Just let your instincts lead you. If the ads are really effective, you’ll make the purchase. If they’re not, you won’t really care.

6. If you followed what the ad contained, how are you going to make your purchase? Are you going to the store by yourself? Or are you going to tell people about it first so they might also be interested in joining you?

7. If you go to the store and find a long line purchasing the same product that you wish to acquire, are you going to join them? Or are you going to leave the store without buying what you want?

8. If you decided to leave, are you going to come back some other time to check out if there are lesser customers in the store? Or are you just going to completely forget about purchasing the product?

9. If you have availed of the product, are you happy that you have been influenced by its ads?

10. And lastly, are you going to purchase from the same store again? Or are you going to tell people about the products you’ve purchased and how the store treated you as a customer?

Think About Your Own Ads

Now that you already know how the customer thinks, you can tweak your own advertisements to suffice to the way they react to them, the way you reacted to them.

Digital printing makes it easier for you to come up with ads that contain images which can really attract eyes. Not only that, you can have your materials done fast. This makes the print medium even competitive. You can beat the other service providers by providing ads that really stand out from the rest and will make your clients think really hard before they trash them out.
