Patience is the one thing you must possess in network marketing.

Patience is not only a virtue in network marketing; it is a MUST. This business takes time, learning, effort, action steps, persistence, and many other things. Learning to be patient, however, is number one.

This is the key ingredient to success. You may go for many months without seeing any success at all. You may begin to think that this will never work and that it is all one big lie. Successful marketers may make it look easy, but trust me, it is not.

In fact, there is no point in trying to make it look easy. We all find out, sooner or later, that it is a process. Sometimes, it is a very long process. That in itself takes the “easy” out of it. Nobody likes to wait to see their efforts pay off. No one will say that it is easy to trudge forward day after day with no signs of success.

However, just because it is not easy does not mean that it won’t happen eventually. If you are wondering whether you will ever taste success in network marketing, know that you will. As long as you make an effort every day to move forward, and never give up, it will happen.

You are just where you need to be in the learning process. It doesn’t matter if you just started your business or if you have been working on it for many months. You will learn and grow as time goes by. You will figure out which marketing methods work best for you, and which ones just don’t interest you.

There is no getting around this process. You must educate yourself by reading and studying the network marketing business. You must decide whose advice to take. No one is exempt. Everyone must take the same road.

When you begin to feel that it is just not worth it, remember that many who have gone before you and are successful today, felt the same way in the beginning. Some will tell you that the secret to their success was patience. There is no denying it. It is the key.

Think about the alternative. Do you really want to stay in the 9 to 5 rut? That may be exactly what happens if you don’t branch out and give something else a shot. It is a new world. More and more people are working from home and ditching that old JOB mentality. It just holds no satisfaction for the newer generations.

In fact, even many older Americans are realizing that the American Dream has changed. That retirement package doesn’t hold the appeal that it once did. Entrepreneurship is taking over. Jump on the bandwagon and get your piece of the pie.

Treating patience as a virtue will take you a long way in life and in business. It is one of those personality traits that must be cultivated and nurtured. Not many of us are born with it. Never give up. Remember that you are just where you need to be.
