While the majority of pregnancy issues have been taken into consideration, however, when we look into the list of harsh chemical ingredients that are used in personal care items, should we stop and think carefully about whether this is another issue that we need to look at seriously during pregnancy? Studies have shown that some chemicals used in personal care items can mimic hormones, thus interfering with a mother’s natural hormone balance and some chemicals have even been linked to child development issues and birth defects.
Certified organic skin care and personal care products do not contain synthetic and/or toxic chemicals, GMOs , chemical pesticides or fertilisers and only use natural or naturally derived preservatives. If you have children, or are about to have a child or thinking about having a child and keeping them safe is one of your top priorities, it may be a good idea to check the ingredients of your personal skin care products and consider to switch to organic skin care and personal care for your daily regime.
