In recent years, many discoveries have been made about how occlusion (how our teeth fit together) interacts with other aspects of the dental system to create an overall healthy mouth. We have also learned how to treat the entire mouth as a system, including the function of the jaw joint, which can lead to a better and longer-lasting fit for dentures.
