Earlier these courses were not favored by students due to limited career scope in this profession but with the rising market of IT, today software networking courses offer bright career prospects. The basic eligibilities require for these courses are 10+2 and a good knowledge of computer basic. Today all mega software companies offer stable job positions to networking engineers and also give them incredible chance of growth.

Many big software companies employ a separate team of networking engineers who would look after the network infrastructure of the company. The time duration of these diploma courses are from 15 months to 18 months. These networking courses provide training on network analysts, system analyst and technical consultants. After the completion of your networking course (MCSE Courses) you can become a system and Network specialist capable of working on Servers, Windows 2000 and 2003, Active Directory and SQL Server. You could also become an infrastructure management analyst if you have Citrix and back-up Wintel engineering as an additional qualification. As a networking engineer you enjoy good remuneration and many opportunities to learn various networking function. Networking is a constant changing area software field therefore; all networking engineers are required to update their knowledge about various software programs. Both CCNA and MCSE are certified courses of networking. CCNA is by Cisco where as latter is a certified course from Microsoft. Today, computers are not only used in corporate and offices but also in small shops, stores and house holds. People using these desktops at their personal place often encounter with many technical errors. Hence, networking engineers are needed at these places as well.
As a networking engineer you may prefer to work at a computer store or also work independently. You need to form contact with clients and companies because many small companies cannot afford to employ the entire team of networking engineer so they look for home-based networking engineer who could sort out their technical faults. There are many other computer institutes which provide diploma in networking but their diplomas are not given much significance in big companies. They only prefer candidates from a well known institute.
Despite of so many career prospects, networking courses also have some pitfalls. As all these courses are diploma and certification courses hence, most of the companies first prefer individuals who have a Degree (four year) in software for hiring, promotion and pay hike. Candidates with diploma in networking are not given good remuneration at the beginning as compared to the degree holders in Engineering. They need to put lot of work hard and dedication in order to rise in position and salary. Their salary increment depends on their performance at work.
