The Internet, far from maturing is constantly evolving and growing. If you have been on the net for any length of time, one thing that would be apparent to you is how quickly things change in the cyber world. We are constantly presented with new buzz words, such as Integration Marketing, new software scripts, new methods, new technologies and new marketing and communication tactices as in TokSee now, My Social Income (MSI) Web 3.0 social communication platform. Now one might be tempted to ask if all this is good or bad. And my simple answer is "it depends".
If you are on the side of the change makers, there is a good chance that you would regard change as good and welcome. Change on the Internet, holds promises of good reward and possibly fame for the change makers. But how about those on the receiving side of change? I would also say "it depends". It can be good or bad depending on where you are.
For those who have an open mind and receieved change with a positive attitude and are willing to learn new skills and ways of doing things, they stand a chance of reaping the same or similar benefits as the change makers. There are also those who accept change, incorporate it into their tools of trade, and even create their own special spinoffs, even giving them a leverage over others. The loosers over all in my humble opinion are those who resist change. Web 3 is here and I believe, here to stay, thanks to MSI.
I read a book once by a notable Futurist, Daniel Burus and he says that once a technology card is dealt, it will be played. There are new technology card being dealt on the Internet everyday, some are pretty mundane, and some are earth shattering. Recently, we have seen a new technology card being dealt. It is the migration from a web 2.0 to web 3.0 with My Social Income, formerly TokSee.
But what is the diference between a Web 2.0 and a Web 3.0? Apart from all the other bells and whistles of Web 3.0, I would say that the major differences or advantages of a Web 3.0 over web 2 are that while web 2 is viral, its viral ability is limited to its platform. For instance, Myspace account holders can only go viral only within the bounds of Myspace. Same also is true with other web 2.0 platforms. This is not so with My Social Income Web 3.0 platform. MSi Web 3.0 platform is viral beyound community boundries. This is a major shift that is made possible by a simple widget that literarilly opens up communication pipelines with all social communities, making MSi web 3.0 extremely viral. No longer is it necessary to open up accounts with every social community in order to reach out to the members of that community. From one MSI web 3 community, you can migrate across social platform to touch others. This saves massive amount of time and keeps you organized.
The other thing that is different about MSi Web 3.0 is that it can be monetized and the opitons are varried and range from stock options arangments at one end and Ad revenue sharing at the other.
What are the prognosis for MSI Web 3.0?
I believe in my humble opinion that the prognosis is good. Coming from TokSee Web 3.0 and transmuting to My Social Income has been a challenge. There have been some rough edges that need to be rounded and smoothed out. But that is part of the pains of birth and growing up. What I see is a virgin Web 3 territory. There is plenty of room to grow and consolidate and the early adopters, will mostly probably reap the benefits of this new, viral, cross- community, free social platform.
A technology card has been dealt, it will definitely be played. How would you play?
