The Aussie culture is one that is very similar to that found in the United States. It is a true mix of different cultures that were brought to this region by settlers from around the globe as well as those traditions of the original inhabitants of this region as well. The mix primarily includes pieces of Asian, Irish, Italian, English and Greek cultures and make for an incredible mix in this outrageous land.
Around the whole country the cultures here have an impact, you can see it in the cutural foods, architecture and events happening everywhere. English is the dominant language in Australia but in these cultures there are many languages spoken, with some of them melting into each other which makes for some of the unusual dialects and accents in this vast land.
Aussies are very fod of their beer and wine, they will admit this to you easily. There's another food eaten here though that is not common to anywhere else in the world, it's called vegemite. It's unique to this area and eaten by all, it's a food item that is highly nutritional, a spread that's typically served with bread or crackers but can be used in a lot of other ways. Most everything else eaten here is very similar to the European diet but the vegemite stands out as a unique Aussie product.
The Sunshine Coast is only one of the beautiful beach front regions of this incredible land down under, but it offers visitors a taste of the Aussie culture in a beautiful setting. It is the perfect place to take a holiday and learn about this culture in one exciting trip.
