Play games on your mobile before your games console.

High street retailer Gamestation are to begin selling contract mobile phones as of next month (March 2008). Gamestation will have new systems which will allow them to credit check customers for mobile phone contracts in store. It is initially a trial and the Nokia N82 and N95 will be the first phones for sale, this is probably due to Nokia putting it’s gaming platform, N-Gage, on the new Nseries phones. More phones will follow if the trial is successful.

There are rumours that new EA Sports games will be preloaded onto some Gamestation mobiles up to three months before they are released on normal games consoles – which should make gaming fans quite happy.

Now while this is probably good news for those that are looking for games on their mobile phones, I just hope that Gamestation employees will be trained well enough to give customers proper advice about tariffs and costs. There are still a great deal of customers who fail to read the small print on mobile contracts and that can end up costing a great deal of money. The wrong tariff can cost a customer over £100 extra every year.

Customers need to be advised on the right amount of minutes and messages to cover their usage, the costs for things such as internet use, and over allowance costs. This will enable customers to choose the right tariff and keep their bills as low as possible.
