The city is a home to nuclear plants which have the history of providing nuclear weapons to the country and also incorporate new technology in them.

The history of mining in this city originated in the 1970s and 1980s when OPEC was formed and hence gave way to the business of mining and oil formation. In 1970s, Middle Eastern countries were earning huge petro dollars and enjoyed the state of being the only producers of oil in the world. Thus huge demand was created which gave to exploration of oil and mining in Rocky Mountains situated near Toronto. Hence when the gold and silver prices boomed, it brought in a large profit which quadrupled the economy of the city.
