It might be considered the last thing in the process packing but it is very important as it help the product to be identified among other similar products. Label dispensers are of two types- manual label dispenser and semi-automated label dispenser. So what is it about semi-automated label dispenser? Semi automated label dispensers were invented for labeling bulk items as the manual label dispenser was time consuming. Usually big industries use semi-automated label dispenser as it is less time consuming and avoid human error. It is also designed to resist industrial conditions. The components which go with the process semi-automated label dispenser are as follows:

1. Feed-Roller: The label material is inserted over the detaching edge, then through a feed-roller assembly which squeezes the label material between a rubber roller and a metal roller. The metal roller is restrained in place with bushings pressed into aluminum blocks which axis on a rod supported between two side frames. The block utilizes the springs on each side to hold pressure against the rubber roller, and this also manages the tracking of the label material with the sensor to the side of the machine. By means of this process label stored up to 16" width can be used and tracked ideally. The drawback/benefit to this process is waste is not accumulated, but shoved out through the back of the machine where it can be dumped into a trash holder.

2. Strip plate: A part of the machine which performs as a divider for the label and its liner. Every label is pulled diagonally the strip plate until it is distinguished by a photo sensor or limit switch. Strip plates can be of different design and stuff, but they are usually prepared from plastic, aluminum or metal coil.

3. Spool: It is also referred as take-up hub. The spool consists of a liner holder/clip and a bar, which are joined to the motor on a particular side-frame. In function, they turn in sync with the motor and push the label liner so as to gather it in one place. So, as the take-up hub rolls, stress is positioned in the liner and it is extended across the strip plate, where striping, or break up, occurs.

4. Motor: The motor mechanizes the label dispenser and manages the pace at which labels are dispensed.

5. Electric eye: Electric eye is another method which detects a beam of light broken by the label as it goes by between/ over the sensors. It can be kept for various label types, but crystal clear material is a problem for electric eye.

6. Photodetector: Main purpose is to generate label advancement. Each semi-automatic label dispenser is trained with one or the other. These sense the lack or presence of a label to assist dispensing.

7. Limit switch: This does the main process of label sensing and can be used for majority of the applications; it can sense a broad range of labels.
