What You Require To Make An Infopass Appointment?
You can plan an InfoPass slot by visiting www.uscis.gov, and clicking on the InfoPass link. You'll require your A# and your receipt number, if you've by now filed an application, to schedule the meeting. Generally, you cover a choice of days, and then, in those days, time slots at 15 minute intervals. When you've planned the appointment, you'll get a proof sheet that you will need to print, so be sure that you are somewhere with a printer when you schedule the meeting.
How Do I Make this Appointment?
• Create your appointment via the Internet
• Select one of 12 languages you want to apply in:
o choose “Make An Appointment”
o Type in your mailing address ZIP code (so that InfoPass will allot you to the correct office)
o Select the kind of appointment you need to resolve your problem (always important)
o afford your name, date of birth, ZIP code and telephone number
o decide a date and time for your appointment (if you don’t see a convenient time, check back with InfoPass – new appointment choices are made available each working day); and
• When the meeting notice appears on your computer screen (showing the time, date and location of your appointment), print it out to show at your InfoPass appointment.
Should I Make An Appointment Even For Regular Queries?
For usual matters, you do not need to meet with USCIS officers in person. Routine investigation can be handled without difficulty and hastily by telephone or over the Internet:
• Forms – All immigration forms are free and can be downloaded from uscis.gov. You may also call National Customer Service Center (NCSC) and request that a form be mailed to you.
• Case Status – For the status of a case filed with a USCIS Service Center, go to .uscis.gov and select “Check My Case Status”. With your Service Center receipt number, enter three letters followed by 10 numbers (no spaces or dashes).
• Renew or Replace a Permanent Resident Card – The form you need is Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card. Employment Authorization –You need Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization to apply or renew employment authorization.
Appointment Worries
When taking an appointment, sometimes, you may keep receiving the message that there are not appointments offered at this time. You should keep trying. If you want to take more than one appointment (e.g., one for each family member), you may need to wait for at least 30 minutes before the system will accept additional appointments. Alternatively, you can use another computer with a different IP address. Any complicated problem can be addressed including pending US Citizenship Application Form.
