- Typical stretch vehicle: These autos most commonly come in colors of black or white, which are classically elegant. They are often a Lincoln Town Cars or Cadillacs and are commonly used for fancy, special occasions such as transporting a newly married bride and groom to their honeymoon destination, toting prom guests in their tuxedos and evening gowns or movie stars, carrying exotic dignitaries or even the president of the United States of America.
- Presidents’ limos: While the Presidents of the U.S.A. may ride in limos that look like the one you hired for the prom, they are, in fact, a bit different. For one thing, these automobiles are owned by the government who doesn’t typically call a rental company to arrange for transportation. The government owned vehicles are especially designed with security in mind. The roof, windows and doors are made from a special armored material in order for them to be bullet proof. After President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963 while riding in a black 1961 four door limousine, the secret service and its body guards upped the ante on vehicular security.
- Strange hybrids: There have been arrays of unlikely autos which have been stretched out into a long limo-like vehicle and are used by various limousine services. Examples are Volkswagen bugs which have morphed into centipedes, Hummers that appear to have taken steroids, Convertible jeeps painted in camouflage motif stretched out long enough to tote large tour groups on safari, and many more. If a person’s imagination can envision it, mechanical engineers can devise a way to snake a vehicle into a limousine.
- Party Buses: An even larger variety of limo is the party bus. The party bus concept is a way to take the traveling celebration on wheels a step further. These vehicles are equipped with restrooms, wet bars, kitchens, lush furnishings, electronics equipment, sound systems and funky upholstery.
- Airport Transportation: On the more sedate end of the spectrum is your basic airport transportation limo service. When a family or individual is going to embark on a vacation, they have enough on their minds with luggage, passports, tickets and getting to the plane on time. By using a transport service that will pick the travelers and their suitcases up at home or a hotel and carry them to the airport curb, a huge amount of stress and logistics can be alleviated. When a chauffeur arrives to pick the gang up for their travels, their vacation begins at their front door. After arriving back to their home airport, a simple phone call will have the driver ready and waiting to deliver them back to their abode.
