Not far from Las Vegas, Nevada is the City of Henderson, Nevada. Henderson is a world leader in performing arts, cultural arts, and entertainment with great events throughout the entire year. The number one stop to find out what events are going on in Henderson is City of Henderson Department of Cultural Arts and Tourism's website.

During the winter season the Henderson Events Plaza in the Water District has arranged for Santa to spend some time downtown. Other great events include the Henderson Fabtech Desert Classic which has a partnership between the City of Henderson, Department of Cultural Arts and Tourisn, the City of Boulder City, and Fabtech. Annual events include Best in the Desert racing cars, trucks, buggies, motorcycles, and ATV's. All of the events at the Fabtech Desert Classic are free events.

WINTERFEST is a spectacular celebration in Henderson kicked off by the U.S. Marines to collect toys for the annual Toys for Tots drive, and the "Sounds of the Season" concert by the Henderson Symphony Orchestra. Winterfest has many other events for the rest of the week.

Henderson Performing Arts include acts such as Steel Panther at the Green Valley Ranch, entertaining crowds for the New Year's Eve celebration. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Godsmack's Sully Erna, Tommy Shaw, and Jack Blades are all upcoming acts for Henderson's community of Performing Arts.

The City always has ongoing displays and feature many local artists all around the city. There are several art galleries to see along the Water Street District in downtown Henderson. The rotating exhibits feature local artists and are displayed at the Gallery at Liberty Pointe. Some of Henderson's main attractions featuring Las Vegas Performing Arts are Thursday Night Live, which includes a cultural arts series featuring local and emerging talent in an informal setting that is accessible to people of all ages.
