Lanyard an Effective Badge Holder

Employees and visitors often are provided with a custom lanyard to wear their id card that is printed on the company identification card system. The lanyard is used to keep the card visible and also to keep it from being lost or misplaced throughout the working day. This badge holder makes it easy to provide credentials for access and verification when needed.

Custom lanyards do need to be ordered in a quantity. Usually anywhere from 100 to 250 is the minimum number of lanyards that are printed at a time. Colors can range from a standard selection provided by the lanyard company or a custom color can often be provided. Custom lanyard colors are determined by providing the appropriate PMS color to the manufacturer. They match the PMS color selected with the dyes available to color the lanyards with the perfect match.

The next most popular question to answer is whether or not the lanyard will contain a break-away clasp or not. The breakaway feature allows the lanyard to open at a special clasp which allows the person wearing the lanyard to break away from a situation that may cause choking or may otherwise injure the card holder. Many education institutions and manufacturing companies require the break-away feature.

Another choice that needs to be made is the attachment option. The attachment holds the identification card onto the lanyard. Popular options are the swivel hook, the badge clip, plastic hook and split ring.

Upon completing the above choices, the remaining item is to determine what will be printed on the lanyard. Text or logos are common printing options. The text font is wide open for selection and sometimes both text and logos are placed on the lanyard for that special look.
