Discrimination - Landlord has no right to discriminate while rented out the property for the following reasons such as: race, gender, color, nationality etc. As a landlord, it is necessary to understand people more rather than concentrating on other things like their color or nationality. It is better to have good tenant from different color rather than bad one from same color.
Credit Check – Landlord got complete authority to run credit check on tenant for minimal fees. You should also cross check the history of tenant like bank account information, behavior, job history etc. Tenant is responsible to pay the fees of credit check.
Be Loyal – Landlord should understand that he/she is running a business. And you are independent to choose any future tenant for yourself as per industry norms. It is advisable to make decision on professional level rather than personal level. You can decline the application because of bad credit history, insufficient income etc. but do not decline application with other reasons.
Behavior – Landlord should behave properly with tenant and keep in mind that tenant pays you every month sum of money. Landlord has no authority to disturb tenant or his/her privacy. You have to take permission before entering in area of tenant.
