Klose, who formerly played for Werder Bremen, was transferred to Bayern on June 28, 2007 for a fee of €15 million and signed a four year contract with the club. He was able to capture his first title win for the team when he scored in the 29th minute after Manuel Neuer, goalkeeper for Schalke, fell on the field.
