First, due to a promotional mouse mat’s inherent structure, it can be placed in anything that is flat. This includes envelopes, folders, or even tablets. (Of course, all of the above should be printed with your business name, supplying your customer with another practical item that will remind them of your company.) If the printed mouse mats will be given on-or in-folders or tablets, the mats should be attached with large promotional clips or ribbons.
Since the promotional mouse mat is, by nature, flexible, it can be rolled length-wise or width-wise, and secured with a rubber band and then a ribbon. This roll can then be placed inside another promotional item. Suggestions could include a promotional mug or glass, a wide mouthed pencil/pen holder, or similar container that may contain other office-related gifts. If the promotional mouse mat will be given in conjunction with a holiday, this type of presentation fits easily into a small Christmas stocking or gift basket.
Another alternative is to fold the promotional mouse mat like a soft-shell taco, secure it with a sturdy band or a piece of heavy-duty tape, and fill it with assorted promotional merchandise. Items for consideration would be printed pens or pencils, packages of small office items, or coupons. The packages can then be placed inside small promotional bags at a hospitality desk, or conveniently carried in a briefcase to a client’s location.
If the printed mouse mats will be supplied to a large group of conference customers, there are other imaginative ways to present them to clients. The mouse mats may be placed at each table setting under empty water glasses. They may be stood up in a small box in the middle of the table as part of a centerpiece, along with other promotional gifts for the taking. If food will be served, the mat may be rolled, tied, and placed alongside the silverware setting. The mouse mats may even be placed inside the handouts distributed during the meeting. (If none of these ideas appeal, however, promotional mouse mats are very inexpensive to mail, since they weigh almost nothing!)
