Many times we get caught up into the thinking that we have to pay for Internet marketing. We have told ourselves to believe that we have to pay for classified ads or do a PPC campaign to get our message out and receive traffic to our web page.

We can get no cost advertising at search engines such a Google, Yahoo, etc. if we could spend hours of time collecting hundreds of backward links but then you may find that they are probably worthless because the anchor text does not contain a suitable keyword, or the site does not have sufficient page rank, or whatever the search engine has decided to check with their latest algorithm.

We don't want to buy expensive cloaking tools and run the risk of being penalized. And, we don't want to be bothered if a domain has a static or dynamic IP address or have to use different hosts to make a network of mini sites.

We can spend hours of time optimizing our web sites for the search engines only to find that some other site ranks higher than ours because of the search engine algorithm or they happened to use a keyword that we use but their site has little or nothing to do with the keyword.

If you are ready to change your method then I suggest you try giving something away for free to get traffic to your web site. If you are working with very little capital you can do this and it doesn't cost you any money to accomplish.

You can use some of the original tactics of Internet marketing that you already know - techniques which will never become old. But, these tried and tested methods are combined together in a different way and with a viral twist that you won't have seen before. You see, you give away free reports that have links in it that other people want to download and give away. This will drive more traffic to your site and it doesn't cost you anything but your time.
