IMT Global - Affiliate Programs

http://www.peterdobler.com - IMT Global (Internet Marketing Tools) Affiliate Program sends a very mixed message. The IMT homepage does not give the best impression. There are a few things I would say are 'wrong' with it.

1. The main navigation options at the top have no background and look odd.
2. There is no useful content above the fold whatsoever.
3. There is no useful content on the entire page. There are just numerous e-books and software ads. All of which will apparently solve your problems and 'rocket your traffic'.
4. In addition there are numerous AdSense ads. Is there anything of use?

Delving deeper into the site reveals more advertisement pap. On the 'powerblog' every post is over-promotional and exaggerated. For example, "How you can use SFI to become Rich...And soon!" is one of the post titles and an ad in the sidebar reads, "Send me One Million FREE Guaranteed Visitors". These are clearly misleading and do not create a sense of trust, which I was very aware of as I entered my address and phone number to sign up.

I then found proof that these clams were indeed misleading:

"An affiliate program can provide a full time income if you know what you are doing. To help you to build a full time income with our affiliate program we give away a report that shows you step-by-step how you become a Super Affiliate.
Click here to download the special report

Take advantage of this information. It will make a huge difference in your success as a Super-Affiliate."

For the sake of a more thorough review I downloaded the 'special report'.

It was worse than I expected. I have downloaded a few 'free special reports/e-books' in the past that all promised expert advice. Most contain basic information that I already know, but this one didn't even manage that. Instead it simply said what I would "discover" if I pay $7.97 for the e-Book. Purchasing this e-Book apparently gives me full rights to it and I could then sell it on for what ever price I chose. If you want to give this a try, go for it, but given the tacky look of the site and general untrustworthy feel to the place I doubt it will contain anything of real value.

There must be something good?

- The IMT main affiliate programs page actually looks more professional.

- There is a high commission on selling products. It is 'up to' 60% commission on first level sales and 15% of your referrals sales. I searched everywhere for the details about what exactly 'up to' means but they were nowhere to be seen. The 60% commission was the single impressive redeeming feature but without easy access to the commission plan this positive aspect is greatly weakened.

Conclusion

IMT fits into the 'risky' group of affiliate programs. It is high risk and potentially high return. IMT assures me that new features are being added each week. This reveals it is a young program which could be the reason for the dodgy layout. Hopefully they will read this review and make some appropriate changes.
