1. Reduction of the size of your postcard is one of the best ways for you to reduce the cost. If you have a big postcard, you will also surely have a big cost when it comes to printing. A standard postcard usually has the size of four inches by six inches. If you have a postcard that is bigger than the standard size, then you may want to reduce it down to the standard size. Creating a big postcard must be avoided especially if you want a low cost one. The smaller the postcard you have the least cost you will pay for it.
2. Using standard materials in creating your postcard is also one of the best ways of reducing the printing cost. If you want to also lessen the cost when printing your cards, you can try using low cost materials. This usually refers to the paper used for the postcard. Usually you may want to have a postcard that has a thick and durable material so that it can withstand physical damage. However, if you want to really cut the cost when printing these cards, then you can just use lighter and thinner paper since the lighter and thinner the paper, the lower it will cost. So if you want to have less cost in creating your postcard, consider this option.
3. Utilizing 1 sided color prints can also help you lower the cost of printing your postcards. When it comes to the printing process, it is always a good thing to print only on one side of your postcard. Color prints usually cost a lot since you actually need full color prints on the cover side of your postcard. So if you want to cut more cost when creating your postcard, you can just specify the location or the side of your post card that you want to place the full color print.
4. You can also try to use bulk or wholesale printing of your postcards. It is a given fact that if you order in bulk, you can usually get discounts from the postcard printer that you made your transaction with. So before you go ahead with the printing process, ask the printer what discounts and promos are available to you. This way you know how much to budget in the printing expense.
5. And last but not the least is limiting your customization on your post cards. Customization usually cost a lot because of the color, design, and other processes that is being applied in your cards. So less or no customization at all can give you less cost in the printing process. But if you want to add a personal touch in your cards, you can do so, but just limit what you change or add in your card.
